Torbjörn Ekman http://progtools.comlab. ... members/torbjorn is a postdoctoral research fellow at Oxford University, UK. He received his Ph.D. on extensible compiler construction from Lund University, Sweden. He is the author of the JastAdd Extensible Java Compiler, a declarative object-oriented framework used to implement a complete Java 1.4 compiler with Java 5 as modular language extensions. His current research focuses on modular implementation of composable refactorings.

At the workshop, I would be happy to describe a solution using a declarative, attribute grammar based, tree model (graph when including various bindings). Perhaps not the most widely used code model, but I think it would serve the purpose of demonstrating an alternative solution to the Black/Vainsencher patterns.
