The server daemon receives ?HypertextTransferProtocol (http)
requests and responds to them by delivering pages formatted
in HypertextMarkupLanguage (html). CommonGatewayInterface (cgi)
scripts extend the server by composing html on the fly.
I've been using httpd [1] from NCSA.
