Charlie writes ... Just got this link sent from MikeBorn. Looks interesting, please put me on the list. I now work for an electrical power system testing company in Plainfield, IL after being downsized out of Commonwealth Edison after 25 years. I am real active in the ARISS program and try to operate HF mobile when I can. Charlie adds these details ... We have been in Munster for 16 years or so. Our son Mike is at Purdue and is a senior in Aero. Our daughter Julie is a freshman at USC in LA. Wife Karen is a speech pathologist and works from home here in Munster. I do protective relay work for a small company this is headquartered in St. Louis but has a local office north of Joliet in Plainfield. I thought you might to see a little of what I do for the ARISS program (see below). If you go to the full ARISS webpage you might get to see my pictures. I was the first in the world to have a school contact with the ISS (school in Burbank, IL); later I was number 81 (Adler Planetarium). I have been involved with the SAREX and later the ARISS program since 1993 as one of the technical mentors. I post regularily to the ARISS-press@amsat.org and SAREX@amsat.org bulletin boards. If you check the ARRL website for news you will see my work from the 2 school contacts.
