WikiSym is one of two international conferences with wiki roots. WikiSym often co-locates with other academic conferences like the ACM OOPSLA and Hypertext events.
The other annual conference is Wikimania, which is mostly devoted to study of, and improving Wikipedia and its related projects.
The connection between these events and our field station is tenuous. We hope that, someday, a global network of similar amateur stations will become equally interesting for international study. |
